Po-Zu Biodegradable Organic Shoes

Something we’ve been wanting for a long time is biodegradable shoes. Sounds funny until you think about it, millions of shoes go into the landfills each week, and almost all of them are made from poly materials that will not break down or degrade. Our trashed shoes are going to outlive us by generations.

So when we discovered Po-Zu we were thrilled. Here is a company with the type of commitments we admire and support: excellent products with built-in cradle-to-grave sustainability, natural and organic materials, and funky designs : D.

Take a look at their materials list here, its very impressive.  Organic cotton and linen, latex, coconut coir, wool, cork, and chrome free leather. Nice.

The even run their business the right way. Gosh, I could hug these people.

They have dozens of styles to choose from for men and women: sneakers, sandals, boots, you name it.

They might cost about 15% more than you might be used to paying for shoes but consider the following:

• The skin on your feet are the most absorbent parts of your body. Po-Zu shoes don’t have harsh chemicals or any junk to absorb into your bloodstream.
• Commit to supporting companies that are working hard to make a difference. Show you care about the cause by purchasing products like these. Show the major shoe manufacturers that we are done with the toxic crap they throw at us, and that we want sustainable alternatives NOW.

Thats good enough for us. We’re going to get our hands feet on a pair as soon as possible and let you know how it works out.
